Okanagan Sail Week

Okanagan Sail Week (OSW) began four years ago to bring sailors from all over to our region for a fun week of all levels of racing. The nine day event and includes back to back weekend sailboat racing regattas and a variety of sailing events from Monday to Friday during OSW. Okanagan Sail Week is held annually on the 3rd week in August between Summerland Yacht Club’s Giants Head Regatta and Kelowna Yacht Club’s Commodore’s Cup Regatta. The events are organized by volunteer sailors from across the valley, who want to help the sport of sailing grow in the Okanagan.

Our group recognized that there is a big leap between racing sailboats and simply sailing for fun. We also recognized that there is a variety of sail powered sports on Okanagan Lake that could include events for participants to OSW. To support the fun of sail sports on Okanagan Lake, we created Okanagan Sail Week. Okanagan Sail Week is inclusive to all sail sports, if you have a sail sports event during this week get in touch and we’ll add it to our site.
