The SJ21 Fleet 28, Glenmore Sailing Club and Penticton Yacht Club cordially invite you to join the San Juan 21 2024 Western Nationals Regatta, September 4th and 5th, to be sailed in the beautiful thermal winds of southern Lake Okanagan.
The SJ21 Western Nationals 2024 will be held in Penticton, BC, situated in the scenic Okanagan Valley, a hub for Canada’s wine production. The event takes place over Wednesday and Thursday, with Friday designated as a makeup day or for relaxation.

This year Glenmore Sailing Club and Penticton Yacht Club are hosting the Western Nationals back to back with the legendary End To End Race (Penticton – Kelowna – Vernon) hosted by the Kelowna Yacht Club on September 7 & 8. The race spans approximately 27 miles each day from Penticton to Kelowna and then Kelowna to Vernon. Awards are given for each leg as well as an overall prize. While San Juan 21s may be slower in comparison to other boats, they receive favorable ratings and can perform well, especially in light to moderate downwind conditions. The End to End Race concludes with a meal and awards ceremony at the Vernon Yacht Club. Overall, the focus is on enjoying friendly competition and the camaraderie of fellow sailors amidst the picturesque setting of the Okanagan Valley.
Accommodations are available in nearby motels, and sleeping on boats is an option with access to clubhouse facilities. Come join in and make it a Race Week!
